Inspired by the idea of Tibetan prayer flags, I was recently playing with some products from Canvas Corp Brands and before I knew it I had come up with these flags to hang in my office. They turned out super cute and I cannot tell you enough how much I love them!
Using some Tatter Angels Sprays (in stone), scrapbooking papers, burlap and some of their mini shape flags.....I sat down and just started playing. I combined the pieces from them with stamps from my own design line and random beads and things in my stash.
I layered the images and textures until I found something I liked and sewed or glued it together. I have a YouTube video showing the steps here https://youtu.be/CzrZS_k5gwg
It was so much fun to make I may just do another.

This month I am teaching a class over at Direct Travel's San Jose office on travel arting and creating. Paul Gauguin Cruises will be there discussing their wonderful cruises to French Polynesia and I will be working with the attendees to create some fun travel inspired watercolors.
It is always amazing to me the fun fabulous little pieces of art you can make with limited supplies and the fun travel memories you can create in your art while on vacation. Whether painting or just saving ticket stubs and pictures you can do wonderful work while you are away and not come home with mounds of papers and pamphlets.
We will discuss arting with limited supplies and more this Tuesday in the San Jose Office. If you want to attend there may yet be room. Email Allison Lefferts at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
